We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.

Campaign for Evergreen
Last year, over 580 staff, physicians, and volunteers took part in the eighth annual campaign, contributing over $128,000 to a broad range of programs and services at Evergreen. A portion of the funds raised during the Campaign for Evergreen are distributed by the Evergreen Fund Allocations Committee (EFAC) to projects around Evergreen that enhance the services of Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.
One area where donors directed their support was the Healthcare Access Program and the Evergreen Care Network to provide low-income patients with influenza vaccines; healthcare access and assistance; diabetes education tuition and scholarship; and taxi vouchers. “Our patients really need these services,” says Cheryl Lau, manager for the Healthcare Access Program and the Evergreen Care Network. “We’re so grateful to the staff and physicians for helping us meet these vital needs.”
Though there is no obligation to give, all staff and physicians are encouraged to participate, and many do. Their enthusiastic response demonstrates support for our year-round mission: to provide the people of our community with unsurpassed care, and to build a family of philanthropists at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.
